Penelope
Fender 50's re-issue Stratocaster (Japanese)
So this guitar has one hell of a history.
I have had Penelope in my possession since I was about 14/15 years old. Originally a 50's reissue Jap strat. The previous owner had Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders in the Bridge/Neck a la Ritchie Blackmore. I played with that set up for numurous years before going back to an almost normal strat S-S-S combination set up. I replaced the 2 Quarter Pounders for a Kinman set of Hank Marvin Pickups. Now most guitarists might have the derisions about that decision but all I will say is that they are great PUs. I still have them in there nearly 20 years later!
Only other things to note is that my set-up is with D'Addario 11-56 strings at normal tuning (EADGBE) and that I have the bridge hard to the body with 4 springs at the rear.
I have also recently replaced the electronics with an Eric Johnson set of Vol/Tone/Tone POTs and 5-way switch.
